Our House...is a very very very fine house!
Well in honor of the official closing on our new house; Miss A did one of her fabulous masterpieces....a house! She did three windows, one for her, Baby Max, and mommy & daddy. We have mac and cheese on the bottom and she cut out the house and roof out of provolone cheese with a butter knife. She then used ham for the windows and the door. We have some flowers out of strawberries with these fabulous picks that look like leaves. We originally had mandarin oranges to look like the sun but when I came out Alexa was eating them! Haha. We did not have any more oranges so we replaced those with strawberries. She sometimes eats her lunch while she makes it!! Silly girl! Just like her mommy!!! We threw in some green beans because...well we need a veggie in there somewhere. Our official move day is tomorrow! Baby Max is holding up tight in my belly at 36 weeks and we are bracing ourselves to start new chapters in our lives. I hope everyone is having a great week! It is almost Friday!!!

The Guardian Sphinx of Ancient Egypt...PEEP!!! Haha!
To keep Miss A's lunches relevant to her education while they are still studying about Egypt...yesterday was The Not So Great Pyramids of Pizza and today I give you....wait for it....drum roll please.....The Guardian Sphinx of Ancient Egypt Peep style!! Hee hee. Miss A is on a sandwich kick so we have a triple decker sandwich (I used an ice cream cone cookie cutter for the bread) and a layer of ham with provolone and ham and cheddar cheese. The sandwich has provolone and cheddar accents to make the headdress of the Sphinx and string cheese for his paws which really don't look like paws but..oh well. Chips for filler to squeeze it all together! Then we have some leftover chickadee PEEPS that I cut out fruit roll up headdresses for mini PeepSphinx!! Hahahaha! They really make me laugh. We have a few strawberries and tomatoes and there you have it!!! WOO HOO!!! Peep Sphinx...still makes me giggle....I'm so stupid sometimes....:)

The Not So Great Pyramids....
Miss A is studying Egypt in school. When I think of pyramids I think of desert, scorching sun, mummy's and camels! Could be an interesting week this week of lunches! I know The Great Pyramids of Giza actually have three pyramids, but that is a lot of pizza! So let's pretend these Not So Great Pyramids of Pizza has a hidden one you just can't see from this angle! Very hard to see but I did cut out three fabulous little camels walking along the bottom of the pyramids...hee hee. We have some peaches as the bright fiery sun and some fig newtons and rolled ham for fillers. Here are some facts for you!! My blog is now educational!! haha
- The Great Pyramid of Giza is also called Khufu's Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu and Pyramid of Cheops.
- The Great Pyramid is situated in Giza Necropolis, which stands bordering Cairo city of Egypt.
- The features of the Great Pyramid of Giza are so large they are visible even from the Moon.
- The Great Pyramid is the oldest and largest one of the three pyramids in Giza Necropolis.
- The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
- The Great Pyramid remained the tallest man-made structure in the world for a period of over 3,800 years.

Forest creature...
Preparing to move out to our new home in Prosper this week; which definitely has more little critters then we do here in Frisco; we thought we would utilize our forest creature cookie cutter set that Miss A got from her Aunt Vicky. Although I say that and we have had two bobcats living in our drainage in front of our house for the last three weeks...good gray. Yeah that is a picture of one going back into the drainage hole. I was standing in my front yard when I took that! I keep calling animal control and they are like...we can't find them! Ummm why don't you come out around 6am and see them lounging in our neighbors yard every morning!!!! hee hee. Oh well.
Today we have a sandwich squirrel with mild cheddar and smoked ham. We have very imaginative trees with a string cheese trunk and tops of the trees are strawberries and cheez-its! We have some green bean grass and a few carrot flowers. Don't know what the bento box lunches will look like this week, we sign on our new house on Wednesday and officially move on Friday!! We may have a moving truck or moving box bento!! haha. Have a great week everyone!

Bunnylicious!!
Well Easter is fast approaching and Miss A has her big hunt and picnic today at school!!! So today she wanted a festive Bunnylicious lunch! We made two bunny sandwiches; one boy with a hat and one girl with a bow pick. They have a cheese face and a marshmallow tail. We added some chickadee crackers, white chocolate eggs and gummy bunny and chickadees. Of course we added some decorate grass dividers!! Happy Easter for those who celebrate....if you do not...at least take advantage of the sale of all that candy!!!! Mmmmmm!!! haha!

One Fish...
Okay THIS was the easiest bento lunch. Miss A took her fish cutter and cut out fish. Simple as that! Kind of cheated I guess...Dr Seuss has some unique and very artistic fish and we did not even try to copy their intricate design. But here you have your One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish!!!! Broccoli rice casserole and green beans topped with a provolone cheese fish and two american cheese fish. Then you have some cheerios with a red fruit roll up fish and some strawberries with a blue food coloring provolone fish! And I leave you with the last line of the book....
Today is gone. Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one.
Every day,
from here to there,
funny things are everywhere.

Thing 1 and Thing 2
"Thing 2 would like to clarify that just because he wears the number 2 does not imply in any way that he's inferior to Thing 1." Haha....gotta love Dr. Seuss. Continuing with our Dr. Seuss theme this week Miss A decided she wanted boiled eggs for her lunch. She always eats two so coming up with an idea for two boiled egg faces was not hard!! Thing 1 and Thing 2! So here we have boiled egg faces with blue provolone cheese hair. The body is ham with a cheese circle identifying Thing 1 and Thing 2. We also have some corn, strawberries and some fig newtons to squeeze it all nice and tight and hold it all in place!!! "Thing 1 says he's Thing 1 for a reason and some people should just get used to it. It's a Thing thing, you wouldn't understand." Ha ha! Have a great one!

The Cat in the Hat
Happy Monday everyone!! Had a fabulous weekend of packing getting ready to move to the new house, a fabulous Sip and See for a dear dear friend, Miss A conquered her fear of her bicycle for her St. Jude's Trike-A-Thon this week, and I managed to go uneventful all weekend with no crazy falls or accidents!! GO ME! haha. We read a lot of Dr. Seuss this weekend, Miss A and I did and there are so many characters to choose from we thought we would start with the mother of all....the Cat in the Hat!!! We have an easy breezy turkey and cheese sandwich topped with aportrait of that fabulous Cat in the Hat himself!!! Added a side of chips and some blackberries and all done! Must say it felt like I had a Staples button because..." That was Easy!!!!". Have a good one!!!

Mister Seahorse...
I must say I loooove this book!! Mister Seahorse is a book of fabulous male fishes who take care of the eggs before they hatch! Domestic equality undersea!! Love it! Alexa also loves this book because of the colors. It was her idea of course to make a cheese seahorse and paint it! We have cheese ravioli on the bottom, a provolone seahorse, hand painted by Alexa with a candy eye. We have olives in a zig zag pattern to represent seaweed and some american cheese fishies! We also have some goldfish; no explanation needed there; and some blackberries for dessert. YUM YUM!! Alexa wanted to take a pic of the seahorse with her to show at school with her lunch! TGIF!!!!

Flower garden...
Today is a sweet happy lunch for Miss A...a sweet little flower garden with mini bite size flower sandwiches. To add variety and color the bread is at the bottom and I rotated the cheese and turkey on top and held them together with toothpicks for fun eating! We have peas again because well ummm I need to finish the can! Ha! I garnished the peas with some flower carrots. For dessert we have some peaches and grapes!!! Yummy!!!

Clown face!
Had an early morning meeting and did not have time to post today's Bento Lunch! Miss A is too young to have seen Poltergeist or IT and have a fear of clowns. She still loves unicorns, rainbows, and clowns!! Against my will I did a clown Bento for her. Mac and Cheese orange hair, ham face, cheese and olive mouth and nose along with a tomato nose. We added a few grapes and blackberries and some peas. SCARY CLOWN! Okay...he is kind of cute I will admit it. But I still don't park anywhere close to those sewage drains on the street!!!! Haha

Bunny?
So this morning Miss A and I had some creative differences. She says this is a bunny and I think the ears are too small!!! Okay I realize I am over 30 and my bento creative partner Miss A is under the age of 5 and I should be the adult here but come on!!! Soooooo I will try to take the high road...We have a so called bunny sandwich (haha, just kidding) with ham and an olive and cheese face. We also have some fabulous blackberries, tomatoes, and cheese shaped as eggs and flowers. We also have a pretzel border to keep it all nice and tight! We also added some bunny picks to the fruit and cheese. Have a great one!!!

Somewhere over the rainbow...
Poor little Miss A was sick two days last week so no Bento boxes last week. She had to rough it with my mom with homemade tortillas and homemade chicken soup. Ha! But, back in business with her rainbow masterpiece this morning. As any young girl does she loves rainbows, dolphins and unicorns! So today is a cheese rainbow she painted with food coloring on provolone cheese. Provolone cheese clouds and birds atop rice and some chicken at bottom. Side of grapes and fig newtons per her request and there you have it!!! Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone survived those crazy Texas storms we had last night!!!

Mermaid
Well thanks for all the prayers and well wishes, I am off bed rest, policing myself with absolutely no strenuous activity! Thank you thank you! 32 weeks and counting...
We celebrated last night by going out to eat one of Alexa's favorite things....fish! With the leftover fish we fittingly made a mermaid! Alexa cut out the hair and circle cheese face. We used edible markers for her eyes and mouth. She then cut out lots of little provolone fish! She added some coral reef ham with more fish...she looooves to cut out those fish!! We put a sea fan sugar cookie with some seaweed green beans and a fabulous cheddar biscuit!!! WOO HOO!!! Happy hump day everyone!!!

Ooh La La!
Fourth day of bed rest for me and second day of fabulousness of Miss A's bento box lunches. They are studying France in school. So fittingly she chose the Eiffel Tower! We had some chicken leftover from last night (she wanted to dye it blue for the sky, but convinced her not to...ha). With a butter knife she cut the crust off her bread for the bottom layer, she placed the chicken on top and used a veggie cutter to cut the cloud provolone cheese. She used american sliced cheese to cut the sun and Eiffel tower. I did the middle cut out but she did the outline of the tower with her butter knife. She placed the green beans for grass and for flowers she chose marshmallows from her Lucky Charms breakfast this morning!! haha. She is too funny! Ooh La La she is just too fabulous for words!!!

Girly dress...
Well friends I am out of commission for a couple of more days...this over active little baby in my belly has put me into bed rest for a few days. I went to hospital Friday night and am waiting to go back to the doc on Tuesday to see what next steps are. Hopefully it is just temporary and I will be good to go with limited activity by end of the week. I am going CRAZY here in the house!! No baking, no cooking, no outings, no packing for the move....oy vey!!! So this morning Miss A took matters into her own hands....this is all her!!! She cut her sandwich, meat and cheese with the dress cookie cutter, then punched out all the polka dots on her dress. I helped her with the ruffle at the bottom, but she pulled it up and placed it on the dress and even added a neckline ruffle. She added her grapes, tomatoes, and nutri grain crisp bar. I told her we needed another vegetable so I convinced her to do carrot flowers, in which she wanted three different types of flowers. This is the ONLY way she will eat carrots!! She is such a trooper and it is so fun to watch her put it all together. Such a cutie pie! Have a great Monday!!!
